4. What are bed sheets?
Bed sheets are fabric covers used on a mattress. A typical set includes:

  • Fitted Sheet: Has elastic corners to fit snugly over the mattress.

  • Flat Sheet: A rectangular sheet placed between you and the quilt/blanket.

  • Pillowcases (sometimes included, sometimes sold separately).

Key Terms:

  • Thread Count: Number of threads per square inch. Higher thread counts (300-800) generally indicate softer, more durable fabric, but quality depends on fiber and weave.

  • Weave: Percale (crisp, cool, matte finish) vs. Sateen (silky, smooth, slight sheen).

  • Fiber: Cotton (Egyptian, Pima, Upland), polyester, blends, bamboo, linen, microfiber.

5. What is a quilt cover (duvet cover)?
quilt cover (also called a duvet cover or comforter cover) is a protective, removable cover for a quilt, comforter, or duvet insert. It:

  • Protects the inner quilt from dirt and wear

  • Allows you to change your bedding style easily

  • Is easier to wash than a whole comforter

  • Typically closes with buttons, zippers, or ties

Quilt Cover Sets usually include:

  • 1 Quilt Cover

  • 1-2 Pillowcases (depending on size: Twin = 1, Full/Queen/King = 2)

6. What are pillowcases?
Pillowcases are fabric covers for pillows. Types include:

  • Standard Pillowcase: Open end, no closure.

  • Housewife Pillowcase: Open end with an inner flap to keep pillow in place.

  • Oxford Pillowcase: Has a decorative border (flange) around the edge, often with a closure.

  • Zippered Pillowcase: Closes with a zipper for a snug fit.

8. What materials are your bedding made of?

Material Properties Best For Care
Cotton (Egyptian, Pima) Soft, breathable, durable, luxurious All-season, luxury feel Machine wash, tumble dry
Cotton Percale Crisp, cool, matte, lightweight Hot sleepers, summer Machine wash, may soften over time
Cotton Sateen Silky, smooth, slight sheen, wrinkle-resistant Softness lovers, year-round Machine wash gentle
Polyester/Microfiber Affordable, wrinkle-resistant, durable, soft Budget-friendly, easy care Machine wash, quick-drying
Cotton-Polyester Blend Easy care, affordable, durable Everyday use Machine wash
Bamboo (Rayon) Soft, breathable, eco-friendly, moisture-wicking Sensitive skin, eco-conscious Machine wash gentle
Linen Breathable, textured, softens over time, durable Warm climates, casual look Machine wash, air dry or low heat

9. What is thread count and does it matter?
Thread count is the number of threads woven together in one square inch of fabric. While often associated with quality, it's not the only factor:

  • Good range: 200-400 for percale, 300-600 for sateen.

  • Very high counts (800+) may use multi-ply threads (two thin threads twisted together) which can feel heavier and may not be more breathable.

  • More important factors: Fiber quality (long-staple cotton is best), weave (percale vs. sateen), and finish.

We focus on quality fibers and weaves rather than just thread count numbers.

10. How do I care for my bedding?

  • Before First Use: Wash bedding before using to remove manufacturing residues and improve softness.

  • Washing: Machine wash in warm or cold water with similar colors. Use mild detergent.

  • Avoid: Bleach (weakens fibers, causes yellowing), fabric softener (coats fibers, reduces absorbency and breathability).

  • Drying: Tumble dry on low or medium heat. Remove promptly to prevent wrinkles.

  • Ironing: Optional; cotton and linen may be ironed while slightly damp.

  • Storage: Store clean, completely dry bedding in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

11. How do I put on a quilt cover?
The "Burrito Method":

  1. Turn the quilt cover inside out.

  2. Lay it flat on your bed.

  3. Place the quilt/comforter on top, aligning corners.

  4. Starting at the head of the bed, roll the quilt and cover together tightly like a burrito.

  5. Reach inside the open end and grab the far corners of the quilt.

  6. Pull the quilt through as you unroll.

  7. Shake out and fasten the closure.

12. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, and other secure digital payment methods.
